What you'll need:
2 rubber balls
This race challenges teams of children to find ways to pass a rubber ball without using their hands. Remind the children that it takes teamwork to find a solution and that they'll be engaging both their problem-solving skills and their social skills to figure it out.
Divide the children into two teams and have each team stand in a line. Explain to the players that the teams will race each other to see which team can pass the ball all the way down the line first. The trick is that team members must figure out ways to pass the ball without using their hands.
What to do:
Give a ball to the first child on each team and, on your signal, have them pass the ball on. The first team to pass the ball to all of its team members without the use of hands wins the race. Gather the teams together and talk about the different ways they devised to pass the ball.
