"I think the best values are chicken leg quarters, assorted pork loin chops or well-aged top sirloin steaks. These are great, versatile cuts that are relatively inexpensive and good to have on hand in the freezer. The best way to [store meat in the freezer] is to wrap each portion securely in freezer or butcher paper and place in a resealable plastic freezer bag. Be sure to squeeze out as much air as possible. If you have a vacuum sealer, that’s even better."
