chime in nowWho They Are:
The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) was founded in 1994 to provide emotional support to family members of those who died while serving in the military.
What They Do:
TAPS runs a telephone hotline and online community support forums as well as grief seminars that help surviving spouses, siblings and parents heal from the loss of their loved one. TAPS also runs Good Grief camps for children whose parents died while serving in the military.
How You Can Help:
Cash donations are accepted. Volunteers can work as "ambassadors" communicating TAPS' mission in their communities or offer to help the organization in other ways.
