Dig a Hole

Don't leave digging in the sand to the kids; instead consider it your beach pass activity to relaxation. If you help your kids with the shovel, they'll spend an inordinate amount of time bucketing water into said hole. And you know what all that purposeful back-and-forth to the ocean will give you? A break. (You're welcome.) And if your babe is too small to carry the water, spend the 15 minutes to do it for her. She'll keep splashing in her own personal mini-ocean, so you don't have to chase your crawler to the surf every 5 minutes.
