Slather the (broad-spectrum) sunscreen (of at least 15 SPF) on everyone before you trot down to the sun-shiny beach. It'll make your life easier -- we promise! And to ensure that you don't miss any precious burn-able skin, spray or rub the SPF on before anyone slips on a swimsuit. (Use a sunscreen solid with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide for sensitive spots, like the scalp, nose, cheeks, tops of ears and shoulders.) Once you're at the beach, be sure to reapply every two hours and every time you get out of the water. Pro tip: Set a timer on your smartphone, so you don't even have to think about it.
