How to Tell Loved Ones You're Pregnant

If You Have Another Child
"How about sending your mother a card from your older child? In the card, he can announce that he's going to be a big brother. That way your child can feel like he's part of the process as well."

Carve it in Silver
"My parents collect coffee mugs so we went had mugs engraved with Grandma and Grandpa. When they opened them, my mom started squealing before my dad could even get his glasses on to read what it said. As for my brother-in-law, he had been bugging us since before the wedding that he wanted someone to call him Uncle Dave. So we had a T-shirt made for him that said 'Just call me Uncle Dave!' He loved it!"

Share the Suprise
"When my doctor's office called to confirm my first pregnancy 10 years ago, I asked the nurse to call my husband and say she couldn't get a hold of me and tell him the news as if he were the first to know. Then I waited to see how he'd break the news to me. What a priceless memory. He took me out to a fabulous dinner and told me the news over dessert. It is a wonderful memory for both of us."
