ABC Family Gets 'Huge' New Series

Get ready for a new ABC Family series that's going to be... big!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hairspray star Nikki Blonsky has signed on to star in the network's new series, Huge, based on the book by Sasha Paley. The show, written by My So-Called Life creator Winnie Holzman and her daughter, Savannah Dooley, is being promoted as Glee meets Ugly Betty, and “will revolve around six teens and the staff at Wellness Canyon, a weight-loss camp."

Blonsky will play a "funny, opinionated overweight girl sent to the camp by her wealthy parents who own a chain of fitness centers," while Hayley Hasselhoff (daughter of David Hasselhoff) will play Amber, the hottest girl at camp. The show will also star Zander Eckhouse, son of Beverly Hills 90210's Jim Eckhouse.

Huge's ten-episode first season is slated to premiere in June.
