'Hyde Park on Hudson' (Dec. 7)

Short Story:
Franklin Delano Roosevelt was known for lots of things during his 12-year presidency: The New Deal. A complex battle with polio. But an affair? That's not nearly as well-known. Hyde Park on Hudson explores that aspect of FDR's life, following Roosevelt (Bill Murray) and his burgeoning relationship with distant cousin Margaret Suckley (Laura Linney) during the British monarch's visit to upstate New York in 1939.

What They're Saying:
"There's no way around it: Hyde Park on Hudson is the cinematic equivalent of sleepytime tea. It will put you right to bed... Unfortunately, this thing just lays there, sunning itself like a lizard on a rock." -- Moviefone.com

Good for Kids?
Hyde Park on Hudson's R-rating warns for very little, but Common Sense Media says the film's "brief sexuality and sophisticated subject matter likely make it best suited for mature teens."
