I Want My Hair Blonde, Not Orange

Every time I make my hair blond with an all-over color, it develops an orange cast. This makes my skin turn sallow. What is the solution to end up with a more neutral shade?

Shakira,
It sounds like you are picking a permanent color that is too light for your natural color. Use a shade closer to your natural color. This should help to eliminate some of the oxidation that turns your hair orange. To achieve the brightness you are looking for, add a few occasional highlights with every third or forth touch-up. Note to self: Be sure that your new lighter color works with your skin tone. If it continues to turn brassy, this is a major red flag that it is not the right shade for you. This means it is time to rethink and change your hair color.
