|6 Bartlett pears||3 tablespoons unbleached all-purpose flour|
|3/4 cup nutty granola||1/2 teaspoon cinnamon|
|3 tablespoons light brown sugar||2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch cubes|
Preheat the oven to 350.
Cut a small slice off the bottom of each pear so it stands up straight, and lop about 1 inch off the top of each as well. Reserve the tops.
Slice around the core and seeds of each pear with a paring knife, then hollow the center out of each with a grapefruit spoon or other small spoon.
Whisk the granola, sugar, flour and cinnamon together in a medium mixing bowl. Add the butter and mix together with your hands, gently rubbing the butter between your fingers until it moistens the ingredients and the butter chunks are reduced to the size of peas.
Pack the granola mixture into the cavity of each pear, stuffing it in tightly. Replace the top of each pear with its reserved piece and place into a square baking dish.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until the pears have turned completely brown and the buttery mixture is bubbling out at the edges. Serve warm.
