Why We Love Him: This Oscar-winning actor is an old fashioned movie star for a new age. He's charming, funny and active in making the world a better place by raising awareness of the plight of refugees in Africa and Haiti.

Irish Eyes: In 2008, the 49-year-old actor -- whose background is Irish and German -- told a British radio station that he was looking forward to touring the Emerald Isle. "I am doing a motorbike ride in Ireland this summer," he said. "I hear it rains a lot but I've got the perfect outfit!"
