Sometimes men are from Mars and women are from Venus. In the upcoming midterm elections though, it looks like we're all from the same planet. Of 2,431 men and women surveyed, both sexes are closely aligned on the political issues that matter most in the November 2 election, according to the Pew Research Center for People and the Press, which crunched the numbers at iVillage's request.
"It's fairly typical" for the two genders to rank items similarly because the issues of the day generally affect everybody, said Carroll Doherty, Pew's associate director. (The only divergence of any significance was on the war and abortion). Even so, women may have even more impact than men because they tend to vote in higher numbers. Here, the issues you care about this election, in order of importance, according to you.
