It Doesn't Take Much to Be a Star

Paris Hilton taught us that you don't need to be talented to be famous -- you just need to have rich parents.
Ashley Dupre has taught us a new way to get your fifteen minutes of fame -- be a call girl for a New York governor.
Obviously, we here at Blabber aren't advocating taking the Ashley Dupre route; after all, we know her moment in the spotlight won't last (and, oh yeah, it's kind of dirty).
Take a look at Divine Brown, the Hollywood prostitute who "assisted" Hugh Grant. Sure, she appeared on The Howard Stern Show, played herself in a Ron Jeremy flick and was the subject of some X-rated biopics, but that didn't exactly make Divine a household name.
Ashley wants to go from call girl to pop star. Can she do it? Should people -- like Diane Sawyer (who's interviewing her tonight on 20/20) -- be giving her more attention? Is Ashley Dupre now a celebrity?
