Rumors began swirling last week that Hollywood sweethearts Shia LaBeouf and Carey Mulligan had hit the skids -- and now it seems there's more proof to support the breakup talk. According to the U.K.'s Daily Mail, Mulligan has moved out of her Wall Street 2 costar's home and has plans to head back across the pond.
"I'm moving back to England; it's a long story," she reportedly told friends at the premiere of her latest film, Never Let Me Go, in the West End of London.
In the meantime, Mulligan has set up shop in a hotel -- but it's not where you think. According to reports, the 25-year-old actress is renting a room at a Best Western in Hollywood, spending just $108 a night for a standard room with a queen bed. She's been spotted shopping at a nearby supermarket and has been hauling groceries back to her room for just about two weeks now.
"This is more a place for back-packers, students and those on a budget," said a hotel staffer. "We pride ourselves on being clean and tidy but this is a long way from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood."
Well, nobody can accuse the actress of being high maintenance, right?
LaBeouf and Mulligan began dating when they met on the set of the Michael Douglas flick, and she's been crashing at his place while filming her new movie, Drive. There has been no official word on the couple's split, but sources are buzzing that it might have to do with LaBeouf's wandering eye and his new Transformers 3 costar and lingerie model, Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley.
