Waking up on a Sunday morning, pulling on your sweats, heading for the couch with a cup of coffee is pure heaven before you have a baby. But having day after day of "Sunday" mornings with a newborn can take a little time to get used to -- there are days that you'll feel a bit aimless, overwhelmed and even lonley without your work routine. Resist the urge to create a new schedule to replace your work one. Instead, ditch your expectations of how maternity leave should be and start small. Put the baby in the carrier and go for a walk, meet up with a friend or make a trip to the drugstore. Try to sit back and embrace an unscheduled day of focusing on your brand new little bundle of love. It's an adjustment, but you'll get used to it.
