Q: What is iVillage Rewards?
A: iVillage Rewards is our way of saying “thank you” for the time you spend on the site, and the many ways you make iVillage awesome by leaving comments, sharing content to social media and giving us useful feedback. As you explore the site, you earn points that unlock badges and other special offers from iVillage and partners.
Q: What is a badge?
A: Think of it as a piece of flair–a colorful, fun reminder of how much you’ve read, watched, commented, or shared to social media. It lives on your profile page and on your iVillage Rewards tab, and it lets other iVillage members know how fabulous you are.
Q: How do I earn badges?
A: There are 7 levels you can earn for each badge, and they require a different number of points to be earned before it can be rewarded. You earn points and badges for:
- Logging in
- Reading an article
- Watching a video
- Leaving a comment
- Visiting these channels: Home & Garden, Food, Entertainment, Beauty & Style
- Sharing content to social media
- Any clicks to the site we receive as a result of your sharing
Plus, we’ll be awarding one-time badges as you enter contests, join a chat, or participate in any other super-fun thing we do.
Q: What? No Pregnancy & Parenting badges?
A: Sorry, no. (No Health channel or Love & Sex channel badges either). You will still earn points toward the general (Reading, Video, Comment, Share, Referral) badges, but no channel-specific badges can be earned here. The content in these channels can be very emotional, and we didn’t feel right handing out rewards for your participation there. It just seemed insensitive. (Do you agree? Disagree? Let us know on the message board.) For this reason, on the Pregnancy & Parenting, Health, and Love & Sex content, the iVillage Rewards tab will also remain closed unless you open it.
Q: Where can I see all the badges that I've earned?
A: Once you’re logged in to iVillage.com, at the bottom of your page, you will see an iVillage Rewards tab. Click that, and it expands to reveal the badges you’ve earned. You can also see your iVillage Rewards activity on your profile page. To get there, just click your username anywhere you see it on the site.
Q: Is it free to participate?
A: Completely free! All you have to do is sign up or log in to iVillage.com to get started. You’re automatically rewarded just for being a member.
Q: Do I have to enter my Facebook, Twitter, etc. information during registration?
A: Not at all. That’s optional. But remember, you can earn points for posting iVillage content on these and other social networks. You can pick which of your social media profiles you'd like to connect to iVillage.com, or you can connect none at all.
Q: Do my points expire?
A: No. As long as you are a registered member of iVillage.com, your points are yours to keep.
Q: Is there a limit to the number of points I can earn in a day? Or ever?
A: No. You can earn as many points as we offer.
Q: Do I still get points if I visit iVillage.com on my mobile device?
A: Yes! As long as the URL you’re visiting does not start with “m.ivillage.com”, you are earning points.
Q: Can I redeem my rewards for something?
A: Not right now. But down the road, you may be able to trade points for tangible rewards–like coupon codes and discounts at your favorite retailers.
Q: Can I earn points by posting in the message boards?
A: Not yet, but we’ll be introducing badges for message board participation soon. Stay tuned!
Q: Can I opt out of participating in iVillage Rewards?
A: Of course. Just click the opt-out link on your profile page and your iVillage Rewards participation will end immediately. Unfortunately, you’ll also lose the points and badges you’ve earned. (So please don’t go!)
Q: If I opt out from iVillage Rewards, can I opt back in?
A: Yes! Just go to your profile page and select “Collect iVillage Rewards.” You’ll start earning points and badges immediately. But remember, when you opt out you lose all your points and badges, so opting back in means starting over from zero.
Q: I have a great idea for iVillage Rewards! I also want to report a problem. What’s the best way to get in touch?

Q: I like reading legal disclaimers. What are your official iVillage Rewards guidelines?
The rewards offered by iVillage.com may be changed or discontinued at any time. We may also add or delete ways to win points, change or alter the iVillage Rewards program, or change the number of points you need to earn a badge. As with any of our online offerings, iVillage reserves the right to suspend or delete your profile if you violate our Terms of Service, or for any reason in our sole discretion. iVillage also reserves the right to change or delete anyone's point totals whole or in part, if we believe that points were achieved through hacking or manipulation of our or anyone else's site, or if due to technical malfunctions more or fewer points are awarded for certain activities than intended by iVillage. Rewards offered by iVillage Rewards are for entertainment purposes only, and are intended for personal use, and are not to be resold or otherwise commercially exploited. Doing so is grounds for termination of your profile and participation in iVillage Rewards. You waive any right to seek monetary value or compensation of any kind from iVillage or its parent, subsidiary, or affiliate entities due to a failure to receive a reward or for any change or deletion of your points or your profile by iVillage.
