Carmen Dubroc has been President of the Board of Directors of the Girl Scout Council of Greater New York since 2004, and a member of its board since 1996. She currently oversees 37 directors who are responsible for the governance and oversight of the organization which serves 22,000 girls in the five boroughs of New York City, one of the largest councils in the country. The Girl Scouts is the preeminent leadership organization for girls in the world.

A veteran of 30 years of corporate positions specializing in marketing and branding, she now devotes all of her time to volunteering to benefit non-profit groups. Ms. Dubroc began her career as a teacher in New Orleans before moving to New York. Her corporate experience includes four years of domestic and international marketing at Avon Products, Inc., three years as Vice President of Marketing at Charles of the Ritz Cosmetics, three years as General Manager at Godiva Chocolatier, four years as Senior Vice President of Marketing at Calvin Klein Fragrances, and two years as Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development Worldwide at Weight Watchers, International.

Through these various corporate positions, she became a specialist in branding and estimates that she has managed over 2,000 individuals. Her expertise includes advertising, product development, creative services, package development, market research, retail planning, international product positioning and public relations, many skills which can be transferred to non-profits on a pro-bono basis.

Ms. Dubroc serves on the Program Services Committee of the Volunteers of America, the largest advocacy organization for the homeless in the U.S.

She holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in languages from the Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas, and a graduate degree from the Sorbonne University in Paris.
