She serves on many boards of directors, advisory and editorial boards, and was a member of the Research Committee of the Presidential HIV/AIDS Advisory Council (PACHA) and the National Institutes of Health’s National Advisory Environmental Health Sciences Council (NAEHS). Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Medical Technology Leadership Forum, the Advisory Board for the Association of Black Cardiologists’ Center for Women’s Health, the Board of Advisors for the Iris Alliance Fund, and as the consumer representative to the Medicare Coverage Advisory Committee (MCAC) for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and has been a consistent advocate for coverage for new technologies.
