A Theatrical Performance
300 of Regiment's Students are AIDS orphans or vulnerable children, so the disease is personal, and real, to this school community. To the beat of their classmates' drumming, members of the Anti-AIDS Drama Club process into the courtyard. Before a dancing and singing chorus, students act out the drama of Angela: an AIDS orphan struggling to care for her younger brothers and sisters. In the skit, Angela wards off the advances of a man who seeks to make her his second wife with promises of luxuries, despite the fact that she's still just a child. Angela endures the shame of her classmates' taunting, because she can't provide for herself and her siblings. Finally, a teacher reminds her that school is a safe place, where the staff will care for her and help her, and where she can receive the education that will help her provide for herself and her siblings.

After the skit, the Anti-AIDS Club departs the courtyard with one final song. "Although you come from very far away... we shall never forget you," the students sing. The deep baritone voices of the boys keep the rhythm. The clear, sweet voices of the girls carry the melody, and the powerful, determined lyrics: "We are fighters against HIV and AIDS. Keep the promise against HIV and AIDS. We will win the fight against HIV and AIDS."
