Family and friends of Dennis Hopper gathered in New Mexico on Wednesday to say their final goodbyes to the actor. Hopper died on Saturday, at the age of 74, after a year-long battle with prostate cancer.
Amongst the dozens of funeral attendees was Hopper's close pal and Easy Rider costar Jack Nicholson, who expressed his feelings for his dearly departed friend.
"It was a very singular relationship I had with him, like nobody else. We were soul mates in a way. I really miss him," Nicholson said.
Joining Nicholson in Taos, the city where Hopper spent much of his time in the 1980s, were actors Dean Stockton and Val Kilmer, along with Hopper's brothers and son, Henry Lee, who acted as pallbearers.
At the time of his death, Hopper was involved in a nasty divorce with wife Victoria Duffy.
