After an emotional night of "awesome" performances on Dancing with the Stars, America sent home another couple on Tuesday night. The three stars with the lowest votes were R&B legend Gladys Knight and partner Tristan MacManus; singer Gavin DeGraw and Karina Smirnoff; and actor Jack Wagner and pro Anna Trebunskaya.
None of the bottom three was particularly surprising, considering they were part of the five-way tie for last place on Monday night. (Even though they all scored a respectable 24.) Knight and MacManus were sent to safety first, leaving the two male contestants to face elimination.
Although both DeGraw and Wagner improved on their previous week's performances with tributes to their most memorable year, it was Wagner who was ultimately sent packing.
"I just had a great time. It was fun to test myself and thanks to the judges," Wagner, 52, said after host Tom Bergeron announced the news. "Good luck to everybody else, all the contestants."
Before his elimination, Wagner -- who had danced a samba to his own song in celebration of meeting a daughter he didn't know existed -- expressed "simple gratitude."
"It's been such a great ride," he said. "I love Anna. I'm so grateful for her."
As for DeGraw, who once again found himself on the brink of elimination, he knows he has to up his game with Smirnoff, last year's champion.
"This is a repeat offender I don't want to see again," DeGraw told Bergeron as he and Smirnoff stepped down.
The remaining season 14 contestants are: William Levy, Gladys Knight, Maria Menounos, Sherri Shepherd, Donald Driver, Roshon Fegan, Melissa Gilbert, Katherine Jenkins and Jaleel White.
