In a shocking move, movie star James Franco has signed on to appear on the daytime drama General Hospital for two months.
What's even more surprising is that it was the Milk star's idea to approach the ABC show about getting a role, SOAPNET is reporting.
"We are thrilled to announce that James Franco will play an integral part in a lengthy run on General Hospital this fall. It's an honor that an actor of James' caliber would choose to spend some of his valuable time in Port Charles," said Jill Farren Phelps, show show's executive producer.
James will be playing a mysterious character who will interact with most of Port Charles and go up against Steve Burton's mob man, Jason Morgan.
James is set to start airing on November 20th.
