In 1999's superhero spoof Mystery Men, Janeane Garofalo brought her comedic edge to the role of an amateur superhero called Bowler who unites with Hank Azaria's Blue Raja, Ben Stiller's Furious and Paul Reubens' Spleen to topple a villainous super-citizen. Rolling her supernatural bowling ball, she unites with her motley crew of crime-fighters to rescue Captain Amazing (Greg Kinnear) from the dungeon of his nemesis Casanova Frankenstein (Geoffrey Rush).
