In what is sure to be an emotional performance, Janet Jackson will lead an all-star tribute to her brother Michael Jackson, at the upcoming MTV VMAs.
An announcement made by MTV today stated that Janet will open the show, which airs live this Sunday at 9 pm, and take part in the musical tribute put together to honor MJ's career.
Since Michael’s death in June, Janet has kept a very low profile. She appeared at the BET Awards to say a few words about her brother, and we watched her comfort her niece, Paris Jackson, at Michael’s memorial service, but Janet has seemingly been trying to come to terms with Michael’s death in private.
In recent years the VMAs have been almost tough to watch for a slightly older-than-tween person, but Janet’s scheduled tribute should have Michael lovers of all ages tuning in.
