I was with some friends this weekend and one of them actually asked me if I've heard that 90210 is coming back to television. I turned to poor, clueless Steve (who I have been pals with since I'm 15 or so, mind you) and said "Have we met?" Yeah, the new 90210 has only been my main obsession since the news break earlier this year, but I'll let Steve slide this time -- he has a brand new baby and maybe, just maybe, he's preoccupied with things other than if Jason Priestley will be reprising his role as best of the good guys, Brandon Walsh.
Which he's not, by the way.
Jase told Access Hollywood that, although he was approached by the producers of the show to join Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling back at the Peach Pit, Brando said "no".
Come on -- everybody together now --- BOOOOOOOOOO!
"I think I sort of ran the gamut with Brandon -- 249 episodes,"Jason annoyingly said. "I think Brandon did his time."
I disagree. Jason actually left the show at one point -- Kelly and Donna were on for ALL 10 SEASONS!
Anyway, the ungrateful Jason says that, though you won't be seeing Brandon on screen, he may just be behind the scenes, as he'd like to direct for the series.
"They're talking to my people about seeing if they can slot me in over there," he said. "I directed more episodes of 90210 than anybody. I directed 18 episodes."
Blah, blah, blah. If we're not going to get some vintage Brando then just stay home.
