Jason Segel and Michelle Williams have barely even admitted they're dating, but they're already the most adorable couple ever. At the Wednesday premiere of Segel's The Five-Year Engagement, Williams let her new beau have the spotlight to himself, but ducked quietly into the theater to hold his hand during the film!
"Michelle didn't do the red carpet but wanted to be there for Jason's big night," a witness told US Weekly. "She snuck in to sit in the theater during the screening, then they all went over to the after party together where they were hanging out with his costar Emily Blunt and Robert De Niro."
During the party, Segel, 32, and Williams, 31, kept close to one another while being "aww"-ed at by every other actor in the room.
"Michelle was really sweet but her usual shy self in crowds -- she stayed close to Jason and only really engaged in conversation with people that she knew," said the onlooker. "Jason would put his arms around her waist and they gave each other a few sweet pecks -- they definitely seemed to have a physical chemistry."
This week, Segel acknowledged his relationship with Williams for the first time during an interview with Extra.
"I think we would just very much like to be happy. That's all I'm going to say about it," Segel replied when asked about his future with Williams.
But even though he's trying to keep things quiet, it seems obvious that Segel is totally smitten. Following a date with Michelle a few weeks ago, Segel posted the following question to Twitter: "Honestly a totally hypothetical question but I'm curious. If I fell in love would you guys be happy?"
He's since deleted the tweet, but this weekend, a photographer snapped a picture of him holding his phone... which happens to have photo-booth pictures of Michelle Williams taped to the back, signed with the words "I Heart U." He taped her photo to his phone! This could hardly get any cuter. (Maybe if Muppets were involved.)
It seems like Segel is already thinking about settling down, too.
"I hit my thirties and enough became enough," he told People at Wednesday's premiere. "I'm ready to enter phase three. I put the puppets into a closet. I'm getting nice furniture."
And would he relocate to be with that special someone, like his character in The Five-Year Engagement?
"I would, absolutely," Segel replied.
Brace yourself, East Coast Jason Segel fans: He may be coming to Brooklyn!
