Even after their rep confirmed the news last week, parents-to-be Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem continued to remain mum. But the vow of silence has now been broken, as Bardem briefly touched on Cruz's pregnancy at a Rome press conference for Eat, Pray, Love.
"It is true," the actor told the panel of journalists. "I am very happy."
Desperately trying to keep their personal life private, Bardem pleaded with the press asking, "Don't make me say anything else."
But, of course, they pressed on for more details on their impending arrival, and asked whether the newlyweds had picked out a name for the baby. The actor, 41, replied "No, not yet."
As for keeping the balance of family and career, Bardem admitted, "It is a little too soon for me to be giving any advice. I don't know yet. But I will find out soon."
