Jay-Z: I Came Up With Beyonce's 'Single Ladies' Moves

In the infamous words of Kanye West, Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” is one of the greatest videos of all time. Does husband Jay-Z deserve the credit for her now-famous dance moves? In an interview with BBC talk-show host Jonathan Ross, the rapper said that he and Beyoncé steal moves from each other all the time.

To illustrate, he mimed the"hand flip" from his wife's wildly popular “Single Ladies” video. “I actually created that dance,” the stoic hip-hop star declared. “I said, you should do this, and she did it.” He then got a little bashful, adding, “I wouldn’t really tell anybody this, but you asked me. I don’t want it to seem like I’m making myself more important.”

It’s hard to envision Jay-Z shimmying around, choreographing dance steps for his wife -- but hey, we all do crazy things in the name of love!

If the famous moves really are Jay-Z’s invention, that means a lot of "Single Ladies" imitators owe their success to him:
