There's no getting around it: Blue Ivy Carter hit the parent jackpot! In an interview for OWN's Oprah's Master Class: Special Edition (which debuted May 6), Jay-Z talked about how he wants to be a good father to his baby girl with Beyonce -- but admits that his daughter will probably be spoiled beyond belief.
"At the end of the day, I just know I'll probably have the worst, spoiled little kid ever," the hip-hop icon said with a little laugh.
Jay-Z, 42, grew up without a father, but says his mother Gloria taught him what a parent should be.
"I imagine I'll take things I learned from my mom and things I've learned from raising my nephews and apply that," the rapper said of becoming a parent. (Though he has no other children, Jay-Z helped bring up his nephews in Brooklyn, and has said that they're like sons to him.)
On the other hand, Carter knows what he's in for when Blue Ivy hits prom-going age.
"Everyone imagines they'll be a great dad until their teenagers say, 'Get away from me, Dad. You're embarrassing me!'" Jay-Z joked.
Sigh. If Jay-Z and Beyonce's kids are embarrassed about their parents, then there's no hope for the rest of us!
