A 'Crazy' Win for Hollywood's Favorite Son

The Best Actor winner for his Crazy Heart role as a washed-up country singer, Bridges grew up in show business (with his parents Lloyd and Dorothy Bridges both actors). Before Kate Winslet announced him as the winner (of his first Academy Award), Michelle Pfeiffer took the stage and recalled working -- and getting makeup done! -- together with Bridges on 1989's The Fabulous Baker Boys: "It is that kind of attention to detail and lack of vanity that has always made Jeff not just a great actor -- but a brilliant one," she said.
