Dearly beloved, we are gathered here to say: Jim and Pam's wedding was fun, but this is bordering on surreal! On July 3, The Office star Jenna Fischer wed Lee Kirk -- and they were married by none other then Survivor host Jeff Probst, according to People. That's right, the Emmy-winning reality TV star took a short break from shooting the series' current season in Nicaragua to preside over the nuptials of his longtime friend.
As it happens, Probst, 47, has been an ordained minister in the Universal Life Church of Modesto, Calif., since the 1990's. In fact, he's helped marry several of his friends over the years, and even conducted his parents' 35th anniversary vow renewal ceremony. (All together now: Awwww!)
He must have done a stellar job conducting the Fischer/Kirk nuptials; afterward, wedding guest (and the bride's Office costar) Rainn Wilson tweeted: "Went to the most beautiful wedding I've ever experienced. Total love, Jenna Fischer and Lee Kirk!"
Of course, Probst is hardly the only famous face to become ordained and lead wedding celebrations. In 2007, Tori Spelling became ordained and married a gay couple at her bed-and-breakfast. More recently, the vow exchange of a couple who tied the knot on NBC's Tonight Show with Jay Leno was presided over by newly ordained minister (and star of How I Met Your Mother) Jason Segel.
