Even before she publicly announced that she was pregnant, actress Jenna Dewan Tatum was on a mission to keep the baby weight down. Her go-to method of fitness has been hiking in the Los Angeles mountains, even during brisk mornings, reports People Magazine. With her dogs in toe, Tatum took to the trails keeping in mind a few things that mommies-to-be should always remember. First, bring plenty of water with you. Take plenty of food and healthy snacks. Hiking can burn up 500 calories in an hour and moms need an extra 300 calories per day when they're expecting. Lastly, keep it light. Don't bring a large backpack with a bunch of equipment. Take a cue from Tatum and carry just the basics for easy, fuss-free hiking.
