Jenna Elfman just wants to have fun. Never one to take beauty too seriously, her eclectic, enticing look is always alluring, never intimidating. We asked makeup artist Rolando Quintero of the Oscar Bond Salon in New York City to reveal the secrets of Jenna’s free-spirited style. Just follow Rolando’s few simple steps to get this glowing and glamorous look for yourself.
STEP 1 Starting with clean, moisturized skin, dot sheer foundation onto cheeks, forehead, nose and chin, and blend with a makeup sponge. Using a powder brush, lightly dust the face with loose powder.
STEP 2 Define the brow using a neutral shadow color slightly lighter than your natural hair color. Use a
brow brushto apply shadow to the brow using light, feathery strokes. A light hand here is important; you don’t want the brow to look severe.
STEP 3 With an eyeshadow brush, apply a warm bronze shadow to the eye starting at the lash line and working into the crease. At the outer corner of the eye, blend the shadow slightly up and out. On the brow bone apply a light layer of a sheer golden shimmer for highlight.
STEP 4 To line the eyes, use a flat liner brush to gently smudge a warm brown shadow at the lower lash line only. Keep this line very soft. Finish the eyes by applying two coats of black mascara to the top and bottom lashes.
STEP 5 Warm the cheeks with a peachy pink cream blush. Simply dot the color onto the apple of the cheek, and working in a circular motion, use your fingers to blend the color back toward the hairline. When working with cream color, it's best to start light and build intensity from there. For this look, the blush is very soft and subtle.
STEP 6 Apply a warm coral lipstick to the lips using a lip brush. Keep the application very light. Don't use a lip liner.
STEP 7 As a finishing touch, use a powder brush to dust the forehead, bridge of the nose and cheekbones with a light layer of a translucent shimmer powder.
