Jennifer Aniston, Demi Moore to Direct Breast Cancer Films

The stars will team up with Lifetime to raise awareness for the disease: "We want these films to move people," Aniston says

Demi Moore, Jennifer Aniston and a slew of other stars have signed on to help direct a new series of short films for Lifetime, which will explore the impact of breast cancer.

According to the network, Project Five will "use humor and drama to focus on the effect that breast cancer and its diagnosis have on relationships and the way women perceive themselves, while searching for strength, comfort, medical breakthroughs and, ultimately, a cure.”

Aniston will reconnect with Friends producer Marta Kauffman to executive produce the film series.

"Our hope with Project Five is to entertain, inform and inspire dialogue, research and prevention. Otherwise, our goals are small," Aniston said in a statement. "We want these films to move people and empower those affected by breast cancer to stand tall through this challenge, which impacts all of our lives, no matter who we are."
