Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are celebrating Christmas early. On Sunday, the engaged couple threw a star-studded holiday bash for their friends, including Demi Moore, Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi, Ben Stiller, Lake Bell and Tobey Maguire.
The party, which took place at Theroux and Aniston's Beverly Hills rental house, featured two cherished holiday traditions: tree-trimming and gift-giving. The actress had "thank you" presents for all of her employees ("She always gives them thoughtful gifts," a source told People), while her more well-heeled friends were asked to give donations to charity in lieu of personal gifts.
As for the tree, it was a ten-foot noble fir that she picked out herself, with her fiance's help. "She is very specific about the tree that she wants," a source at Mr. Greentrees in Beverly Hills told People. "For the second year in a row, she picked out a tree with [Justin]... [he] was very sweet to her and let her take her time to find the perfect tree. She found a beautiful one that she had delivered."
Though Aniston and Theroux have no children (and recently denied yet another pregnancy rumor), the actress made sure that the party was family-friendly. "Jen loves having children around and she always has fun activities planned for them," said a friend. "While the adults mingled, the younger guests were able to color and play games."
Aniston's tree-trimming party is a personal tradition that began long before Justin came into the picture. In a 2011 interview, the actress said she'd been hosting the annual holiday bash for 15 years. "I should have been a party planner. I'm a good mixologist in terms of personality types," she boasted.
As for Jen's new cohost, who proposed to her in August, a People source says that Justin "takes great care of her," and that "Jen always seems so happy." We're guessing they spent a lot of time underneath the mistletoe!
