Jennifer Aniston just made history -- at least, according to one major men's magazine. The former Friends star was officially declared "the hottest woman ever" in a new Men's Health feature called "The 100 Hottest Women of All Time."
That's a pretty bold statement, considering that Aniston, 42, was competing with 99 other sex symbols from the 1920s to today. So what gave her the edge? According to the magazine, it's the combination of her "down-to-earth persona," her intelligent sense of humor and her girl-next-door sexiness. In other words: She's beautiful and talented, but she also seems more like an actual human being than most of Hollywood's pouty-lipped actresses. Incidentally, one of those other actresses is Angelina Jolie -- who made the list at No. 10. (We bet Jen got a smile out of that one!)
Other women who made the top 10 include Marilyn Monroe (the obvious No. 1, but ranked No. 3 by Men's Health), Britney Spears (No. 4), Madonna (No. 5) and Jane Fonda (No. 9). Further down the list, Kim Kardashian is ranked at No. 26, Beyonce at No. 33 and Jennifer Lopez at No. 60. The list also highlights a number of women from bygone eras, like Mae West (No. 55), Audrey Hepburn (No. 82), Grace Kelly (No. 86) and even silent film icon Clara Bow (No. 81).
In an interview with the magazine, Aniston says her personal pick for all-time sexiest woman would be feminist author and activist Gloria Steinem, because "she's the full package (and) that's sexy." (Steinem, 77, did not make the official Men's Health list -- but probably should have, if only for her famous 1963 expose where she infiltrated the Playboy Club.) And as for what Aniston finds sexy in a man?
"Sexiest thing about a man -- other than abs -- is if he can make me laugh, has compassion, kindness and an accurately sized ego," Aniston declares.
We're guessing that boyfriend Justin Theroux fits the bill, although the only thing we can personally vouch for is the abs!
