The latest in Jennifer Aniston's career identity crisis? She wants to be a Bond girl.
"I would love to do an action movie," she told Total Film magazine. "James Bond, glamour and Daniel Craig...sh*t loads of fun."
Jennifer added that she's interested in being a Bond girl because, "Sometimes you're not always thrilled by the movie you're pushing. I don't want to just play the girl trying to get the guy. That doesn't interest me anymore."
Wait — has Jennifer Aniston ever seen a James Bond movie? The entire point of being a Bond girl is to be "the girl trying to get the guy" — in this case, Daniel Craig. The role would only be distinct from Aniston's other post-Friends work by the presence of stunts and the absence of dogs (see: Marley and Me).
Furthermore, playing a Bond girl isn't always the best thing for your career. Ever heard of the "Bond girl curse"? Despite a few notable counter-examples (Kim Basinger, Famke Janssen), lots of actresses who play opposite Bond have trouble being taken seriously afterwards.
Aniston also has some competition: rising young star Freida Pinto. Back in March, rumors swirled that the Slumdog Millionaire actress would be reunited with director Danny Boyle for the next Bond movie.
And of course, one other rival for the next Bond girl role has been named: Angelina Jolie. Just Jen's luck.
