Jennifer Aniston may get to play to dress-up for a living, but we're guessing her latest transformation is one of her favorites. In the new issue of Harper's Bazaar, the actress seamlessly channels her idol, Barbra Streisand, in an amazing new photo spread.
According to sources, Aniston threw herself into the role of the singer/actress by listening to Streisand's 1964 song "People" during the shoot, while copying looks from two of the superstar's most famous films, Funny Girl and What’s Up, Doc?
Aniston recalls her first meeting with Streisand, which took place at a New Year's Eve party a few years back.
"[Barbra] was wonderful, and you could talk to her about anything," Aniston said. "So, I happened to be talking to her and Jim [Streisand's husband, actor James Brolin] when it struck midnight. They said, 'Excuse us,' kissed each other, and then, very politely, kissed me."
Since then, Aniston, who stars in the upcoming The Switch, says she was lucky enough to meet up with Streisand on another occasion -- to pick her brain about an passion they both share.
"I had a long conversation with Barbra about directing because I directed a short a couple years ago, and if I don't do it again soon, I'm going to burst out of my skin," says Aniston.
