Jennifer Aniston shows a lot of skin in her new comedy Wanderlust. As the trailers tease, the star spends a considerable number of scenes in various states of undress.
"Yeah, there was a lot of (nudity)," Aniston, 43, tells ET Canada of the movie, which costars Paul Rudd and her beau, Justin Theroux. "Bottomless, topless. Yeah, there is. It's happening."
Aniston describes her nude scenes as fitting with "the spirit of the movie," which chronicles a Manhattan couple's move from the Big Apple to a rural commune.
"'Liberating' is a good word to use," she says of her character's au naturel scenes. As for how Aniston dealt with her costars taking off their clothes, she says she just "figured out how to throw on a pair of sunglasses."
One colleague's on-screen nudity required an unforgettable accessory. Comedic actor Joe Lo Truglio (Reno 911!) used a prosthetic penis, which was difficult to ignore. How did Aniston react to Lo Truglio's special prop? "You're mesmerized," she told People.
The fake genitalia was so "mesmerizing" that Rudd says he "was too busy looking at Joe Lo Truglio's penis" to notice any chemistry developing between Aniston and Theroux.
Aniston says it's "bizarre" to watch herself interact with Theroux on camera, since the two of them didn't get together until last summer, after the movie wrapped.
"I mean, at the time, we didn't think about it at all," she says. "Not until months and months afterward."
