Ever since she split from ex-husband Brad Pitt in 2005, Jennifer Aniston has been dodging rumors about her love life and rampant questions about why she's still single. iVillage recently gave Aniston some dating advice she should take from her own movies, and now it looks like another source has popped up to pass on his wisdom: her father, John Aniston.
On Saturday, Aniston's dad, 77, accompanied her to the Hellenic Times Scholarship Fund's 20th Anniversary Gala in New York, where the actress, 42, was being honored. Mr. Aniston (who was born Yannis Anastassakis in Crete) took the opportunity to dish about his daughter's love life, telling People that Greek men make the best boyfriends.
He was then asked if he wanted Jennifer to go back to her roots and be with a Greek man. "Yes, I would be glad about that," he replied. "But he'd have to be a good Greek man."
And what makes a good Greek man? "Honesty," he says.
Recently, Aniston and Bradley Cooper were seen out and about, sparking rumors that they might be a couple. And Aniston told Red magazine that she was tempted to run off with George Clooney (who is, of course, one of her ex-husband's best friends) just to end the speculation about her love life.
In the past, Jenn has said that she's happy being single. But if she is looking to settle down, maybe she should follow her dad's advice -- and watch My Big Fat Greek Wedding for inspiration!
