Jennifer Aniston is suffering the loss of a longtime friend.
The actress' beloved Welsh corgi-terrier mix, Norman, died a few weeks ago at age 15, Aniston's rep confirms to People. "He was an old dog and it was just his time."
Norman had been Aniston's constant companions for years, traveling with her on location shoots, running on the beach in Malibu and even joining her as a guest on Chelsea Handler's late-night talk show, Chelsea Lately, earlier this year.
On the show, Aniston, 42, tried to get the dog to sit, but the dog refused. Aniston joked to Handler, "He's 15 years old, he doesn't care anymore."
In February, Aniston opened up to People about her adorable pet. "He's my baby boy," she said. "Norman goes with me on location -- I've got to take Norman."
When Aniston adopted Dolly, a white German shepherd, the easygoing Norman adjusted, seeming to feel that he had found the perfect new playmate.
According to Radar Online, Aniston "purchased her new $4.5 million apartment in New York under the dog’s name, The Norman’s Nest Trust."
Rest in peace, pooch.
