Last night Jennifer Garner made an appearance in what she referred to as Jay Leno's "fancy new house."
She was there to plug her new movie The Invention of Lying, but she had to earn it.
First Jay questioned the star about her daughter, Violet. Jen and husband Ben Affleck enrolled her in a"co-op school," where parents keep the pre-school running by contributing things like snacks and manual labor. Garner said she puts in her time by scrubbing toilets, but Ben hasn't been getting his hands dirty. He's been too busy directing and starring in a movie, but Jen promised she'll pass the co-op duty baton to Ben as soon as he's free.
Jay, then posed a challenge to Jen: if she could name the current lineup of Ben's beloved Red Sox, he'd allow her to play the clip from her new film. She seemed to nail it, but the Boston Globe points out that she flubbed one of the player's names: it's Victor Martinez, Ms. Garner, not Alex Gonzalez. Still, nine out of 10 ain't bad!
