In a moment that we can only guess was later met with a "Honey, did you really have to share that?", Jennifer Garner appeared on The Ellen De Generes show and casually mentioned that while she isn't pregnant now and isn't planning for more kids, husband Ben Affleck has "wonder sperm."
"I'm not pregnant right now," the mom of three told DeGeneres. "I plan to be done. But my husband is kind of a wonder sperm kind of guy, so you just don't know....You just have a look at him, you can see why."
Garner went on to sing other praises about her hubs -- such as his ability to entertain daughters Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3, with tea parties and baby doll games while half-asleep -- but all anyone can talk about today is the hunky actor's super-virile Wonder Sperm that has produced the couple's three kids. (Baby brother Samuel arrived 7 months ago.)
Now, while "wonder sperm" may not be a medical term (yet), we'll define it as the kind of guy who can get you pregnant just by looking at you. (See also: Brad Pitt, David Beckham). But even if your guy's seed doesn't seem to be at the Wonder Sperm level, you can still help him make it more potent with these three dietary changes.
Lay off the fatty foods. Guys whose diets were high in saturated fat (think fast food, cheese and red meat) had a lower sperm count and sperm concentration than those who consumed lower levels of these "bad" fats, according to a recent study. Men with a diet rich in omega-3s (the "good" fats found in fish) had better quality sperm.
Give him fruits and vegetables. Antioxidants seem to improve semen quality, concentration and mobility. One study found that "men with good semen quality ate more vegetables and fruit (more vitamins, folic acid and fiber and less protein and fats) than those men with low seminal quality."
Get a little nutty. Another recent study showed that men who ate a 2.5 ounce packet of walnuts a day increased the quality and mobility of their sperm more than men who did not.
