VIDEO: Jennifer Garner Talks Sex Scenes and Sarah Palin

The Butter star reveals whether her conservative character was based on Palin and why her romantic scene with Hugh Jackman was "very strange"

In her wacky new comedy Butter (in theaters Oct. 5), Jennifer Garner plays a conservative wannabe politician with a thick accent and strong opinions. Not surprisingly, viewers are buzzing that the actress based her character on former veep candidate Sarah Palin -- but Garner tells iVillage the truth.

"I really wasn't at all," the actress says. "Sarah Palin -- I guess I should have made that connection."

But Jen shouldn't feel bad because her costar, Modern Family's Ty Burrell, didn't make the connection either.

"It's funny because I've heard so much of that since we've finished making it," he tells iVillage. "And I've been like, 'Oh yeah. Oh that's interesting, that makes sense.'"

Watch our exclusive video interview to hear Garner reenact her "very strange" sex scene with Hugh Jackman and to find out whether Burrell felt awkward during his steamy scene with Olivia Wilde.
