Jennifer Hudson Can't Wait to Show Off Her New Body on Stage

With the help of Weight Watchers, the singer has dropped five sizes since the birth of her son, and now she's excited to perform again

Most people who've lost weight have something they look forward to doing post-slim down. For some it's going shopping for a new wardrobe or signing up for a triathlon. But Oscar-winning actress and singer Jennifer Hudson just can't wait to get back on stage!

Hudson, 29, who gave birth to son David, Jr. a year ago, has dropped an impressive five dress sizes since joining Weight Watchers. (She has since become a spokeswoman for the company.) Now, the former American Idol contestant -- who has also dealt with the murder of her mother, brother, and nephew -- is ready to get back in the game.

The singer recently visited a New York school to help launch the new Weight Watchers campaign "Lose For Good." "I can't wait to perform again -- with my new body, "Hudson told Reuters. She said she plans to hit the road in early 2011 to promote her upcoming second album, which she calls, "more flexible, more diverse" and ultimately "more personal."

The multi-talented star also acknowledged that her weight loss is not just a quick change. "It's a lifestyle," she said. "It's not an on-and-off switch."
