During her days as an American Idol contestant, Jennifer Hudson lost 60 pounds to stress. Ironically, the size-10 singer then had to gain 20 pounds to play the lead role of Effie White in Dreamgirls (2006). While her costar Beyonce was dropping weight to play a Diana Ross-inspired chanteuse, Hudson told People that she was eating "all the cookies, cakes and pies I could." By the time she won her Academy Award for best supporting actress, Hudson had dropped from a size 16 to a size 12. But her most dramatic change happened offscreen: reportedly shrinking to a size 0 for her role as a Weight Watchers spokeswoman!
