Jennifer Hudson Offers Beyonce Parenting Advice

As a mother of a 2-year-old, J-Hud offers her Dreamgirls costar some words of wisdom: "Girl, get your sleep!"

Jennifer Hudson has some sage words of parenting advice for Beyonce, who's still in week one of mothering baby Blue Ivy.

The Weight Watchers spokeswoman, who welcomed her own bundle of joy, David Otunga, Jr., in 2009, says she knows exactly what her number-one tip would be for her Dreamgirls costar.

"Girl, get your sleep!" Hudson, 30, said during a Good Housekeeping event in New York City. "We talked about this when I had my munchkin. It goes so fast. She's going to look up and [Blue]'s going to be six months. Next thing you know, she's going to be walking."

The Oscar winner also suggests Beyonce treasure every moment with baby Blue.

"Embrace it. Especially because of the lives we live, a lot of times other people have to care for themselves and you have to have that mommy time," said Hudson.

On Tuesday, Beyonce and husband Jay-Z, 42, took baby Blue Ivy home after her birth at Manhattan's Lenox Hill Hospital.

"Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven," the elated parents said a statement.

As for Hudson, she's also welcoming a new addition this week -- her new book, I Got This: How I Changed My Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down, which was released on Jan. 10. Would you like a copy? Click here for a chance to win one!
