Jennifer Lawrence, Former Fangirl! The Star Reveals Her Childhood Obsessions

From Leonardo DiCaprio to Meryl Streep (!), the Hunger Games starlet runs down the list of celebs who have made her geek out over the years

Thanks to her Hunger Games fame, Jennifer Lawrence is the new object of fan frenzy. How does she handle the attention? Well, she puts herself in her fans' shoes by going back to her days wof being a nutty fan.

"When kids do weird things to me, I'm like, 'I never did that when I was little,'" says the 22-year-old. "I went nuts over Harry Potter and read it four times and pretended I was a witch, but I don't think I would have done some of the -- actually, that's not true," Lawrence tells Vanity Fair. "I saw Daniel Radcliffe when I was doing David Letterman and flipped out. I was screaming. So never mind. I take back everything I said."

The Golden Globe nominee, who also admits to having had a crush on Leonardo DiCaprio back in the day, as well as "the basic *NSync obsession," claims that screaming over Radcliffe is not the most embarrassing thing she has has done when she's encountered one of her favorite stars. The A-lister who really made her lose her wits was Meryl Streep.

"Once I'm obsessed with somebody, I'm terrified of them instantly. I'm not scared of them -- I'm scared of me and how I will react," she tells Vanity Fair. "One time someone was introducing me to Bill Maher, and I saw Meryl Streep walk into the room, and I literally put my hand right in Bill Maher's face and said, ‘Not now, Bill!,' and I just stared at Meryl Streep."

So did she end up talking to her? "Of course not. I just creepily stared at her."

Ah, Jennifer Lawrence, please never change.
