Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony may have called their marriage quits, but the two singers and actors are still giving their reality show a go.
The couple, who collaborated musically throughout their seven-year marriage, are traveling around Latin America looking for the next big act in Q'Viva: The Chosen. In the promotional trailer for the talent competition show, each of them addresses why they're doing the series.
"Why am I doing the show?" Anthony, 43, asks. "I'm wondering why I didn't do it sooner."
Lopez, 42, was even more enthusiastic, predicting the show's success: "It's probably gonna be the biggest thing that I've been involved with yet."
That's setting the bar high, considering she's one of the judges on American Idol!
Anthony believes the series will showcase the "richness" and "beauty" of Latin America: "We don't know what's out there," he explains. "But we have made a pact to go out there to discover the world's most extraordinary talent."
The superstar exes are also joined on their talent-scouting journey by Jamie King, the renowned choreographer and concert director who has worked with everyone from the late Michael Jackson to Prince, Shakira, Christina Aguilera, Madonna and Britney Spears.
In the trailer, Lopez is shown doing a traditional-looking dance for Anthony, as the duo highlights the various dancers and musicians they encounter in different countries. "This is my chance to say 'I am Latina, and this is who we are, Isn't it fabulous?'" Lopez says.
Q'Viva: The Chosen debuts on the Spanish-language network Univision in January 2012.
