A new man has reportedly danced his way into Jennifer Lopez's heart -- and it's not Bradley Cooper! According to Us Weekly, Lopez, 42, has become romantically involved with hip-hop dancer and choreographer Casper Smart, 24.
The magazine's source says that Lopez met the handsome dancer when he was hired to perform in her recent San Francisco show. The insider says the relationship is "nothing serious," although the pair was photographed by paparazzi at a New York City hotel earlier this month. (At the time, Smart was being called J.Lo's "mystery man").
Another insider has also confirmed the relationship to People. "Yes, they are dating and having a good time," says the source. "They've been getting more open with their flirting for weeks."
So who is this guy? He's not famous, but you've probably seen his work: He's choreographed music videos for Kelly Rowland and Eminem, appeared in several films (Step Up 3D, Dance Flick) and commercials (T-Mobile, McDonald's), and danced behind Beyonce at the 2010 Grammys. He's been in some notable music videos (like Natasha Bedingfield's "Pocketful of Sunshine"), has performed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and was even one of the dancing football players who performed "Single Ladies" on Glee. Despite the enormous fame gap between the American Idol judge and the dancer, we could see these two having a lot to talk about. As a dancer and choreographer herself, Lopez worked her way up the industry ladder just like Smart's doing now. But is it love -- or just nostalgia?
Many bloggers are noting the similarities between Casper Smart and Lopez's second husband, music video dancer Cris Judd. (Among other things, they were both backup dancers for Michael Jackson.) That marriage lasted less than a year before Lopez ditched him for Ben Affleck. Of course, that was a good 10 years ago. Now that Lopez has kids to think about, we'd imagine her husband criteria is a little different. But even if it's not serious, who's to deny a brokenhearted J.Lo a fling with a sexy dancer?
